What are Federal Programs?
Federal Programs are defined as any federal program, project, service, and activity provided by the federal government that directly assists or benefits the American public. This includes education. The federal funds received in the Coosa County School System include:
Title I part A - Financial assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Central Elementary and Central Middle Schools both are eligible to receive funding from these federal funds.
Title II - These federal funds are used to prepare, train, and recruit high quality teachers and principals. All schools in the system are eligible to receive funding from these federal funds.
Title VI part B - Rural and Low-Income School Program (RLISP), provides discretionary funds to meet the needs of rural, low-income schools. All schools in the system are eligible to receive funding from these federal funds.
